Client Testimonial

“It has been an absolute pleasure to deal with Lee and the team at Machina for the build of our Maximus 731 enclosed hard top.

Lee has shown an unprecedented passion for his product and has made the whole process effortless from start to finish.

In the early stages of planning, I went to Lee with a large wish list; we worked together through that list, adding and deleting as required and came out the other side with an absolute weapon.

From safety to sea handling right through to unprecedented looks and style, Lee has an eye for detail like no other I have experienced.

Each and every one of the Machina team is super talented and passionate about what they do. They always greet you with a smile and are keen to share their passion for their product.

We were lucky enough during my build to spend time on the water in Machina’s own Demonstrator chasing bluefin and bottom fishing, which highlighted the practicality, safety and extremely soft ride of these magnificent machines. Not only do they look amazing, but they also carve through rough seas and calm alike. They definitely attract fish both trolling and bottom fishing in shallow water.

We opted for an enclosed cabin suitable for overnighting, with a heated cabin, cooker and fresh water, toilet and comfortable berths for three. Maximus is a whole lot of boat for a 731 - plenty of storage, headroom, and high gunnels – this is truly a blue water overnighter. Did I mention the thumping sound system?

Maximus, like all Machina, sits on a spectacular trailer which makes it a dream to tow.

I have told Lee on numerous occasions that I truly believe he has set a new standard in the aluminium boat-building industry in NZ and, no doubt, the world. I strongly believe other boat builders will struggle to compete.

I would strongly urge anyone in the new boat market to contact Lee, go for a ride, and I am certain you won’t need to look any further.

Thank you, team Machina, for my journey thus far. I know I have made friends for life.”
